| Hello, everyone. It's been awhile. I guess I'll begin with my travels... After my 2nd attempt to Egypt, I finally made it, this time we didn't get kicked off the plane. =) Egypt was amazing. It was as if I went on an epic journey and learned about the pharoahs, pyramids, and mummifications, which date back as far as over 4000 B.C. But most importantly, it felt surreal to be where Biblical happenings took place. Cairo- Mudbrick houses keep the house warm during winter and vice versa during summer. Temperatures during winter is comfortable 70-80 degrees and over 120 during the Summer.

The Final Judgement painting on papyrus paper, a ceremony of the weighing of the heart led by Horus (in front) of Osiris, the chief gods of the dead & afterlife. One side of the balance weighs the heart, which measures the sin of the Pharoah, and the other side weighs the feather, which is truth and justice. If the Pharoah's heart weighs more, god Ammut, who has the head of the crocodile, devours the Dead, whereas if the heart is light, Anubis, goddess of Truth & Justice guides the Dead to afterlife. On top are tribunal of 42 dieties. acting as witnesses,

King Faroud's Castle with 365 rooms, one room per day for individual women, a guesthouse and his own paradise garden and seaport. He was the last King in Egypt and was a gluttonous, obese, lazy man.

Afterlife was huge in ancient Egypt. As soon as the King got enthroned, people started to build the pyramids and tombs. Pharoahs were worshipped because they believed that they were mediators between the gods and the people. Egypt was a completely different travel experience I've ever done in my life. Due to lack of time, we couldn't cover Mt. Sinai and the Red Sea, but I definitely want to do that and the biblical trek in Israel when I get the opportunity again.
